The problem:

Stratagem wasn’t your typical IP firm. Founded by women and determined to challenge the status quo, they wanted to be at the cutting edge of intellectual property. Bold, modern, and ready to disrupt an industry known for being slow-moving and traditional. The problem was their brand wasn’t reflecting any of that. Their communications were outdated, their design felt tired, and everything about their identity was stuck in the past. They were targeting some of the UK’s most innovative businesses, but their brand wasn’t speaking the same language. Without much internal marketing knowledge or support, they knew they needed expert guidance to help them break away from the norm and stand out in their industry.

The solution:

We built a brand identity that didn’t just fit the market, it cut through it. Stratagem needed to resonate with a few key audience personas, so we crafted a strong visual and verbal identity that positioned them exactly where they needed to be. We worked closely with their team to create a brand foundation that felt fresh, future-facing, and unmistakably them. From new brand guidelines to a tone of voice framework, they could use time and time again, we set them up with the tools to keep their messaging sharp and consistent long after the rebrand was complete.

The process:

We kicked things off with a creative workshop, getting under the skin of the brand and understanding what made Stratagem different. From there, we developed a completely new visual and verbal identity including a sleek new logo and brand guidelines to cement their positioning. On the verbal side, we crafted a mission statement, vision, values, and communication pillars to give them a rock-solid foundation. We then created website guidelines to shape the design and ensure their online presence matched their bold new identity. To future-proof their marketing, we also built out a comprehensive tone of voice guide, giving them a framework they could use again and again to keep their comms sharp, confident, and unmistakably Stratagem.
